Privacy Policy

Draft. This page describes how the site works today; it is not legal advice and must be reviewed by a qualified person before Ficaday is published.

What we do not collect

Ficaday has no accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or a login.

Likes

If you like a story, your browser creates a random identifier and keeps it in local storage under the key ficaday_visitor_id. It contains no personal information. Our server stores only a keyed one-way hash of that identifier next to the story you liked, so that a like can be counted once and removed again. We do not store your IP address for likes. Clearing your browser’s site data removes the identifier.

Preferences

Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage only.

Hosting and analytics

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect the service. If analytics are enabled, they are used only to count visits in aggregate.

Advertising and affiliate links

Ficaday may show advertising from Google AdSense and links to affiliate partners. Where these are active, third parties may use cookies or similar technologies, subject to your consent where the law requires it. See the cookie policy.
